Moments at the Waikiki Beach Wall

Waikiki Beach Wall is an iconic attraction for locals and visitors on any given day. Children jump fearlessly and with joy as the waves roll in. Body boarders take advantage of the close surf break, and everyone can get a different perspective of the town. People crowd the end of the pier to get sunset photos. More than a point of interest, it is part of what makes Waikiki a special place for constantly changing activity and reckless fun.

During July and August of 2019, the controversy surrounding the construction of the TMT (30 Meter Telescope) on Mauna Kea reached a highpoint across all of the islands. Those in protest of the TMT would shape their hands as a triangle to symbolize the mountain when someone photographed them.
